PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF AI FOR INFORMATION GOVERNANCE

Is AI a Disease or a Cure? AI is the new hot topic and with good reason. While there have been many technology silver bullets that promise great returns, but never deliver, AI is different and likely will fundamentally change how many types of work get done. This is causing all kinds of reactions from fear of large job losses to great disruptive opportunities for new businesses. This session will look across the AI landscape and provide some practical perspective and advice to help practitioners get enthusiastic about the positive impact AI will have on Information Governance.

David is currently Chairman of Gimmal LLC. Previously, he was CEO of Gimmal for 12 years. He has a successful record of accomplishment of leading diverse organizations through major transformation and change. As CEO, David led Gimmal’s transformation from a professional services business to a software led solutions business.

He has led organizations with revenue in excess of $100MM. David’s experience includes leading high growth companies and companies in transformation. In addition to leading and managing organizations, David has led M&A activity on both the sell and buy side of deals. He is well versed in the Energy and Multi-unit Retail industries.

David is also an active participant in many charitable organizations including Child Advocates (Board Member), The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (Directions & Assistance Committee), and is President of the Houston A&M Club. David graduated from Texas A&M in 1984 with a B.S. in Economics. He is married with two daughters and enjoys golf, fishing, CrossFit, and music.
